Ready to Join
SES volunteers come from all walks of life, all backgrounds and all professions. In fact, the main thing SES volunteers have in common is a desire to make a contribution within their community.
Are you ready for action? If you are over the age of 18 and have a desire to assist those within your community then you could be a potential volunteer member. You can expect excitement, challenge and the reward of knowing that your contribution makes a real difference. You will need a sense of commitment to the community and commitment to your fellow SES volunteers.

Emergency Contact
132 500
Call 132 500 from anywhere in Victoria for emergency SES assistance in a flood or storm. It is the same cost as a local call in Victoria (mobiles may be higher). SES volunteers are on call 24 hours a day to provide emergency assistance if you or your property is affected by a flood or storm. When you call 132 500 you will be connected to your local SES Unit or an emergency communications centre, where a trained call taker will note the details and dispatch the local SES Unit to the incident. Phone triple zero (000) for police, fire or ambulance.
